Aftercare is just as important as the service itself, if not more important!
It truly makes all the difference in the final results.
Our goal at Novum Skin is to have all of our clients leave our care with the full knowledge of what they actions they need to take after receiving a service.
But just in case we missed something or a little reminder is needed, we have all the after care instructions linked below!
Eat clean, whole foods.
Nourishing your body with a well balanced diet that contains vitamins and minerals can help promote healthy skin from within, thus yielding better treatment results.

Be sure to remain hydrated. Your skin and body needs
a lot of water to function properly. Without water your skin's aging process accelerates and the health of your skin is more likely to be compromised.
Allow yourself a maximum of 15 minutes in the sunshine without sunscreen a day. This small amount
of time will allow your body to absorb vitamin D from the sun. Other than that you NEED to be protecting your skin with an SPF sunblock. Be sure to apply SPF daily.
Be sure to cleanse, your skin on a regular basis. Your AM skin cleanse should consist of rinsing your face with lukewarm water. And that is it. Using a cleanser twice a day strips the skin of all essential oils it needs to remain healthy. Your PM Skin routine should include the use of a skin cleanser.
After cleansing rituals be sure to follow you esthetician recommended skin care routine.
Retinols
Unless instructed otherwise, avoid using any retinols for a week after your facial. Doing so prevents your skin from over sensitivity or having an adverse reaction.
Avoid the sun, Saunas, hot baths/showers and sweating for at least 48 hours post facial. This prevents your skin from becoming irritated or having an adverse reaction after treatment.
Avoid the pool for at least 48 hours after treatment. The harsh chemicals can disrupt the healthy microbiome that lives on the skin and cause irritation.
Be sure to not over do it by receiving another facial treatment. You must wait at least two weeks between facial services.
Don't wait to book your next facial. Facial treatments are recommended monthly or quarterly!
